Nick,U-1009 was towed from the assembly area at Lisahally by the frigate HMS Loch Shin,and sunk by gunfire on 5/1/46, North of Tory Island, as part of Operation Deadlight.Previous to that she made two unsuccessful attacks against a patrol boat and a destroyer, in the North Channel, during mid January.
