You needn't have gone to the trouble of posting the 'A' list here but it might be of use/interest to someone else.

What I was asking for was a good idea of the number of Kriegsmarine officers. One site Feldgrau I think lists KM personnel for WW2 as 1,500.000 so assuming about 20% of that total are officers that is one hell of a lot you have to look for.
Guess there is going to be a lot of work getting most of the names. I say most because it is highly likely that some names will never come to light.
