In the reconstructed KTB of U-182 you can find a FT of U-182 saying that he sunk the Aloe and that the "Kapitän ist hier" which means that MacLennan was well on bord of U-182 and perished with her. Furthermore we found in Australia the daughter of a crew member of the Aloe. Her father told that Niko Clausen gave a very fine treatment to the crewmembers providing food and other means in order to survive and he also confirmed that he took MacLennan on bord of U-182
