Dear all that are interested,
I am a high school student at Manchester Essex High School. We are writing a 4-6 page paper on something to do with World War 2. My thesis is how the German U-boats ultimately failed in the battle of the Atlantic. I am wondering if you could answer a few questions I have on the subject of U-boats and the battle of the Atlantic.

1. Did the Allies use submarines, surface vessels, or planes to fight back?

2. Did the Allies develop new technology in the fight?

3. How effective was the allies anti-U-boat technology?

4. What problems occurred being submerged underwater for long periods of time?

5. How did the capture of the enigma machine contribute to the victory?

Anything you are able to shed some light on would be very much appreciated. THANKS
