Hi,
I am trying to pin point one of the camps our family friend Werner Demmig
was held. He was a Navy Officer specialising in training the U Boat crews. He was first sent to London then to two camps in Scotland. 12 different ones in total he says: ‘Nearly a year I was in the camp before the last. It was situated in a wonderful forest of high grown Rhododendron trees. The name of the British camp commander was Lord Napier and Attric. (I don’t know if the name is written correct). He was a very strict, but friendly gentleman.’ - CAN YOU HELP IDENTIFY THIS CAMP? He ended up at Llanmartin in South Wales. He returned to Germany in I think 1947/8.
