The U-boats carried the following small ams: 2 Mark 98 rifles, 6 Muaser pistols, 5 bayonets. These are all stowed in racks in the Wardroom. In addition, there is one 8mm machine gun. Small arms ammunition consists of the following: 6000 rounds of 8mm in the No. magazine, 768 rounds automatic ppistol ammunition, 360 rounds of Muaser ammunition. No information is locally available which would relate the 98 rifles to the automatic pistol aummnition. There is no reference made to rifle aummunition or to automatic pistols.
