<HTML>On sea warfare the political issues and the tactical ones must stay well apart. Doenitz was strict on this subject. He did not allow any \"misuse\" of the forces under his commend.
The ODESSA organization was to care the travel to South America of the Nazist Officials and their families. This was accomplished easily considering the great number of \"normal\" persons who wanted to emigrate and went to the American Continent after WW2. Actually the \"Odessa\" had an enormous numer of passports to choose from: just to add insult to injury many of the Nazists escaped under their victims\' identity.
