Dad's photo + another logbook entry

A pleasure Nicolas, here is a picture of my Dad taken in 1939, in uniform. He was 18 years old.

Here is the entry for April 1944 when his aircraft crashed on landing in Northern Ireland (Ballykelly) and he suffered severe injuries - his war was over. He was hospitalised for many years and the next entry in his logbook is not until October 1947. He never really recovered.

I have three books in total and there are a few interesting entries, but in the main it looks like many long, cold hours in the aircraft with no enemy contact,
