Hi Thomen,

Masch.OGfr Bastl being mistakenly typed for Funk Maat Heinz Barth is too ludicrous to even consider.

What part of the crew lists are incomplete do you not understand? They are a work in progress and are constantly being added to. There are hundreds of missing names not to mention that many men only served on a given boat for one or two patrols and many served on several boats during the course of the war. Some boats probably had more than 150 men serve on them during the war. The crew lists will probably never be complete as not all of the records survived the war. We are extremely fortunate that the hard work of a few individuals has given us the names we have.

Regards,

Ken Dunn
