What's really interesting is the fine detail written in the report. This includes observing the the boat dove so fast that it left two men topside, one seen running forward, the other aft, as the boat disappeared underwater. It was later reported that these two bodies were fished out of the ocean some 4 days later and brought back to shore. Wonder if those on shore figured out the nationality of the two bodies and decided not to say anything more about it? The pilot, by the way, went on to become the Commanding Officer of the Coast Guard Aviation base located at what is now Ronald Reagan International Airport in Alexandria, VA. He retired as an 0-4 (Lieutenant Commander).
