Hello Ken,
That's exactly why the Ultra intelligence is so interesting to me. Historians can't state precisely how much of an influence the Ultra intelligence had on the routing of ships or how it effected the War because most of the documented uses of Ultra were destroyed, and it wasn't until the 1970s that the fact that GC&CS had broken the Enigma cipher was de-classified. Thank you very much for the information. I'll keep that in mind while I research this topic.
