Hallo Rainer and Platon,

Thanks for your help. UARSCIEK certainly seems to have been the submarine involved. Unfortunately I do not know the identity of the other bomber, but it could also have been from 203 Squadron. This unit flew many shipping search missions - and presumably anti-submarine patrols also - during 1942.
Sometime in the future I hope to visit again the National Archives in Kew, London and check the Operational Record Book for 203 Squadron.
