thank you so much ,my dad frank was also a survivor off hms kurd, he locked the ship documents up and escaped off the ship, he survived the war and helped to set up a coalboard system in stoke on trent ,sadly passed away of appenadisitus in 1949. i found a wooden box a few years ago in my late mothers house enclosed in the box ,i have in my possesion the actual ship keys off hms kurd !!, an array of medals of my fathers ,some old photographs of him in uniform ,my wife has told me to get intouch with the museum regarding the ship keys what do you think sir?, i would more than anything like to speak with a ship mate that knew him that could tell me about him as a person as i was young when he died ,yours faithfully frank salts son
