In Samuel E Morison, he states that U 751 laid 12 mines of Charleston at the end of July 1942, but I have that she was sunk on the 17th NW of Cape Finisterre, also U 213 laid 15 mines off St Johns, Newfoundland on May 14th 1942, I have she placed an agent ashore at Bay of Fundy, and then joined the Pfadfinder group, whereafter she operated without success off New York before returning. if these boats did not lay these mines, are the boats responsible known? john
