it's quite amazing how different can be the observations both sides. Neumann in his KTB told about 2"Knallerbsen" for which I dont have the translation but it means something like "toy crackers" and he said they exploded very far away. He even supposed that it could have been gun shots. This is totally in opposite to the plane crew report who stated that the bombs where directly on the boat.
So U-372 should also be excluded.
On the other hand I have checked the other KTB's of the boats in the vicinity. Only U-202 reported a Lockheed Hudson at BF1957 at 9h54 without being attacked.
