Hello Ken:
Thanks for your good reply. I agree with you. The thing that always was a mystery here was that the "Fairport" was loaded with tanks that were supposed to be distributed among the other four or five ships of this special convoy to Egypt. In haste, the tanks that arrived at the dock last and late, were improperly loaded. Supposedly the American president Roosevelt personally oversaw this "special shipment." Thanks,Ken.
