I dont know much of the relationship between Kptlt\'s Bode & Zschech but, they were both born in the same year 1918 with about 8 months between them. They were both Crew 36 and both promoted Kptlt 1.4.43. Kptlt Zschech was C/O of
U 505 9.42-10.43 and Kptlt Bode was 1WO of U 505 9.42-3.43 and again 5.43-8.43
I have heard tell of various things but it is not my place to speculate on things that may or may not have happened.
Perhaps someone else can enlighten us.
