italian submarin in the egyptian red sea

Hi to all,

living in Egypt since a couple of years now, a recurring "gossip" or "rumor" spread about italian submarine from WW2 sunk in the Egyptian part of the red sea...

Does any one have heard about this? is it urban legend? facts? any further directions for my researches?
