S-141,the S-boat that Klaus Dönitz died on,
was on the night of 12-13 May -44,together with
S-100, -112, -142, -136, and -140 of 5th S-boot Flotila,
and S-146, -145, -130, and, S-150 of 9th S-boot Flotila,
involved in engagements,when they tried to attack off Selsey Bill.

Brit Destroyer Escort STAYNER & Corvette GENTIAN and
MTB-96, -227, -237, and MTB-246,drove off the German S-boots.
French Destroyer LA COMBATTANTE,Cdr Patou, sank S-141,
and S-100 and S-142 were damaged.
