Hi: I am researching the attack on Aruba by U-156, and I wonder if anyone knows where the German u-boats were penned in Europe before they made their way to the Caribbean? I am guessing France or Norway? I also would like to know how and where they re-fueled once they were in the Caribbean. Did they carry enough fuel to take them all the way across the Atlantic, or were there some sort of fueling stations en route? Any and all suggestions will be most appreciated!
