Con relación a la historia del U-167, hay un completo
e interesante artículo de César O´Donnel titulado
HUNDIMIENTO DEL SUBMARINO ALEMAN U 167,
incluido en el ejemplar número 3 (Mayo-Junio 2000)
de la \"REVISTA ESPAÑOLA DE HISTORIA MILITAR\".
El artículo trae varias fotos en ByN y ilustraciones en color.
(Incluyendo 4 fotos en ByN del barco tras su reflotamiento).

Para tu información el barco fué reflotado en 1951 y posteriormente
desguazado en 1953 y nunca formó parte de la lista oficial de buques
de la armada.
Sus motores fueron vendidos a la Naviera Compostelana para su barcos
fruteros \"Astene Primero\" y \"Astene Segundo\".

Regarding the history of U-167 there is an complete
and very interesting article by César O´Donnel,
titled HUNDIMIENTO DEL SUBMARINO ALEMAN U 167
(SINKING OF THE GERMAN SUBMARINE U 167),
, included in the issue number 3 (May-June 2000)
of the magazine \"REVISTA ESPAÑOLA DE HISTORIA MILITAR\".
The article has several B&W photos and colour drawings.

For your information the boat was refloated in 1951 and subsequently
scrapped in 1953, and never was part of the Spanish Navy Ships List.
Her engines was sold to Naviera Compostelana for their fruit cargo ships
\"Astene Primero\" and \"Astene Segundo\".
