Hi Mark
U-37 landed Abwehr agent Ernst Weber-Drohl in Killala Bay on the 9-10 February
1940.Weber-Drohl's first attempt in a dinghy to get ashore failed. He was a heavy build man and carrying several suitcases. His second attempt was made by transferring to a wooden dingy and was helped by LtzS.Hans-Günter Kuhlmann who
carried his luggage ashore and then helped Weber-Drohl ashore. Kuhlmann then returned to his U-boat.
Kind Regards
