Bonjour Lucien,

U402 is the uboat you are looking for.
She was attacked twice on the evening of September 7 by a Wellington of 172Sq.
First at 2205 by Wellington Q and at 2314 by Wellington D (which was shot down in the engagement).

For some more details and source used, see [historisches-marinearchiv.de]. Just enter the U-number and the date in the search form.
You could also get there by entering the date-range and as event 'uboat attacked by aircraft'.
