<HTML>Since the wreck of U-647 has actually been located for awhile, I was wondering if any reassessments have been made as to the cause of loss. I see that this site has the sub listed as lost due to unknown causes, position unknown.
The positon of the wreck is according to some diver-sites 5955.967N 0223.300E. She lies at a depth of 100 meters and her bow is damaged. Sounds like she was mined. Any comments?
