They had to change the location \'cause using St. Nazaire was out of the question since the site has changed a lot in the following years, after the end of WWII, plus the fact that St. Nazaire is widelly used today by the French Navy and it also is a busy commercial harbor. On the other hand, La Palice/La Rochelle is pretty much like it was in the WWII, but even there they had to \"shoot\" the scenes only on weekends, plus changing the scennery aswell.
Nice to see women interested in U-boats or naval war fare, something witch doesn\'t happen over here in Greece, nothing like that I am aware of anyway :-) !!!
