The naming of the movie U-571

I think I have figured out why they named the movie U-571.
Ok, here\'s my shot at it. The first nuclear powered sub ever was the United States sub, the Nautilus. It\'s number is 571!!!

Aha, an American movie about German subs with an American designation? Conspiracy theory? :-)

Of course, I intended no disrespect to Americans. It just seems odd.
