<HTML>That is intersting little fact about japanese enlistments in the navy. In contrast, there were a lot of Indian pilots and personnel working for the Brits in the war. My uncle was with the Chain home low radar research in London during the war. Another who was an officer with the 4th indian division in the desert. And another with merchant shipping during the war! I think the english with their global experience were more accomodating to allowing people other than their own in their armed forces and frequently their armies were a mix of races anyway.
