That accent thing

<HTML>I think the reason why English speaking actors put on Russian accents is obvious -- they are portraying Russian people! If a British actor portrays an American, they speak with an American accent and vice versa. It didn't bother me the least bit because the accents weren't too strong and they were consistent. In fact, I think Harrison Ford's character would've been watered down had he sounded like Indiana Jones or Han Solo.
On the other hand I thought the British accents in Enemy At The Gates (a war movie about Stalingrad) worked well too.
Btw, I can't be the only one who immediately wondered why that one admiral had later become an ambassador by the time of Red October... </HTML>
