Thanks to your post,I revisited the miniseries seen in french TV more than 20 years back, with french dialogs.I can ensure you that the translation was, if not perhaps 100 % accurate, very pleasantly scattered with dirty and obscene jokes, one of the best moment being daily torpedo maintenance program in the front compartment, with all comparisons that you may easily guess...More seriously, I think that Petersen has been very careful with english translation to avoid US censorship, In case you wish some other examples, please contact my by PM, I don't want to appear as a rude person putting naughty messages:-)...
