I have noted that this particular type didn't have a deck gun. Did any of the the Type IXC-40 long-range boats have them? If so, why hasn't U-534 got one? Regards WW2Artist

I've decided to depict U-534 IXC and have a question that is puzzling me: It states she was sunk by an RAF Liberator near Denmark on 5 May, 1945, yet she was apparently with the 33rd Flotilla at the time, which was based in Penang, Malaya. What was she doing near Denmark? Regards, WW2 Artist
