Hello all, Can someone clarify the term "wintergarten". Babelfish translates it as winter garden....I don't see what relation this could have to u-boats. My understanding of "wintergarten" is the extended platforms seen on the VIIC and IX variants on which the AA are mounted. Correct? or is there a more technical definition. There seems to be 3 actions that repeat are repeated whenever footage of a dive is shown. A larger horizontal facing handwheel is turned, two smaller vertical facing handwheels are turned and the levers that you mention.... These actions are all pertaining to activating the intake valves, flooding ballast tanks and opening air outlets. Don't know exactly what pertains to what...

Ahoy Minas, This model is presently out of production but the XXI with full hull has been re-issued recently by Revell of Germany. So maybe they will re-issue this one in the future. Try doing a search with the model vendors in Europe, you may get lucky and if all else fails......E-bay. Hope this helps, Joe
