Hi Rainer U22 did not lay any mine on 22. Dec. 1939! She went into WILHELMSHAVEN at 11.03h that day. The mine laying was done on 20. Dec. 1939. Hello Lio In fact thats true. Bad weather conditions and misinterpreted radios led to a fuel shortage on U-608. Due to a broken compaß the boat was 223 miles off her course on november 21st and missed her supply boat afterwards.
