But there is a lot of material at National Archives Kew/GB. I searched for UB 81 (sinking Dec 2, 1917) and found out, that G.C.C. Damand and his "U-Boat Flying Squad" tried to lift the boat. Kew has many mails, telegrams and reports between Portsmouth and the Admirality. Regarding UB 81 the signature is ADM 116/1632. Regards Thomas

Hallo, Danke für die Infos. Ich war dieser Tage in einer öffentlichen Bücherei und habe mir Rößlers Buch zu Gemüte geführt. Dabei habe ich natürlich auch den Generalplan gefunden und die Bezeichnungen in die UB 80/87 Zeichnung übertragen. Mir ist nun einiges klarer. Dirk, irgendwas klappt mit dem 4shared-Link nicht. Hallo, amerikanische Taucher haben 2003 das Wrack des U-Bootes UB88 vor Los Angeles entdeckt. Es war nach dem Krieg an die USA ausgeliefert worden und dort nach einiger Zeit abgewrackt und versenkt worden. Zu diesem Boot haben die Amerikaner eine informative Website erstellt: www.ub88.org.
