Simon, Remarkable work. You have enough information for the definitive book on the type VIIC. I am working in 1/144 and have had enough trouble building scale railings and opening/ accurising flooding holes. As far as I know there is only one photo of U1305 which shows that the Revell kit has the correct conning tower shape so I went with that and am changing other details to suit. Look forward

Hi,Simon, No, strangely U995 does not have the features I am talking about, but has some holes in the general area. They appear further back, ajacent to the compass housing on the sides of the casing. They look a bit like small hydroplanes and have a gap between them and the ballast tanks. If there are any detail photos of them I have not been able to find any.I am modelling U1305 and noticed th

Hi, New here, so this may be obvious but can anyone help with identifying the structures protruding fron the sides of the hull just forward of the conning tower, above the flooding slots, on the late type VIIC 41 (typically the ones with the fin type compass housing)? Any help would be appreciated. Stu
