Hi Derek Thank you the information, it's great to finally be getting some of the history of my father in law's U boat story. We know he was first sent to POW camp 158 (we can't find any records of where this camp was) on the 17th May 1945 and he then went onto Camp 651 which I have found, was in Wellington,Shropshire. Hi My Father in law was Franz Kusch, he died some years ago. He was on U boats during the war. He was depth charged twice and survived - the 1st time he was picked up by a German ship so was given some short rest time and then sent out again, the next time he was depth charged, he was picked up by a UK ship so was made a prisoner of war, he stayed in the UK the rest of his life never returni
