1. U-482
I'm trying to find information about the attacks on U-482 on Sept. 1 and Sept. 2 1944 off the coast of Ireland, less than 50 miles from Londonderry. U-482, which was on its first war patrol, sank four merchantmen and the RN corvette Hurst Castle. It was hunted by a strike force of 30 Allied warships but got away after enduring prolonged depth charge attacks. Robert Irwin, the wireless

Am having trouble replying for some reason. So I am trying another post. The U-boat attacked a lighthouse off Cape Race on the southern tip of Newfoundland in 1943, sometime between late February and the end of May. Sorry for the wrong date.

In the winter or early spring of 1932 a U-boat surfaced off Cape Race, Newfoundland (the southern tip of Newfoundland) and machine gunned a light house for several hours. HMCS Niagara was sent to look for the sub but it escaped. Has anyone come across a U-boat log entry that might tell us which sub this was?

Does anyone know what Wolfgang Boehmer, the last captain of U-575, did after the war? I am interested in what he did for a living and any details about his family, as well as any contact information for a family member. Thanks

I am trying to find the account Mr. Bromley gave to The Times regarding the sinking of Abosso (or his account of the sinking in his diary). I'm researching the history of HMCS Prince Rupert, which helped sink U-575 later in the war.

I am trying to locate a copy of an interview William George Bromley gave to The Times in 1980. Bromley was a survivor of the Abosso, which was torpedoed by U-575. Also, I'm wondering if anyone has an email address for his daughter, Caroline. There was an address for her on this forum some time ago but I tried it and it does not work. Thanks for any help.

I'm wondering if anyone has the logs for HMCS Niagara (for 1942 and 1943) and for HMCS Prince Rupert for January 1944 until May 1945. I am trying to determine how many Atlantic crossings each of them made during those periods as well as the times and dates that they may have dropped depth charges on suspected U-boats (not counting Prince Rupert's well known attack on U-575 on 13 Marc

13. U-575
I am looking for information about U-575. Does anyone have a copy of the submarine's log in English? I am also interested in how many times U-575 was attacked. I have read it was attacked 188 times but that number seems very high for 10 war patrols. Also, I am trying to locate a newspaper interview granted to I believe the Guardian newspaper by a survivor of the Abosso, which was sunk
