DescriptionAccording to British Naval Intelligence (ADM223/607, TNA), a submarine of this design was completed in August 1944 and shipped to Germany where trials were conducted three months later. It had no torpedo tubes but carried the two torpedoes (450mm) on the sides. Considerations were also given to give the plans to the Japanese Navy.
