14:11 - Added a page on Paukenschlag (Operation Drumbeat) which was the code-name for the U-boat attacks of US waters in 1942. Also on that page is additional information on further operations on those same waters and the Gulf and Caribbean.
14:11 - Added 1 Danish book, 8 French and 2 Swedish books to the Other Languages section of the Book list. That page now has 34 titles listed.
14:11 - Added New books page to the English book list. Presently this page only lists the brand new and excellent book U-boat far from Home by David Stevens.
14:10 - I have a short announcement to make about this site: Please read this about the new domain name (location) that this site will have in the next 2-3 weeks.

01:24 - Added a new set of pages devoted to the Convoy battles, today this is just a hint of things to come. Eventually you'll have over a dozen different battle pages with maps and photos, plus dozens of supportive pages explaining the convoy routes and so on.
14:13 - Introduced a page on KrvKpt. Herbert Wohlfarth.
14:12 - Introduced a page on KrvKpt. Jürgen Oesten which sank 20 ships for over 100,000 tons of shipping. He also damaged the British battleship HMS Malaya.
14:13 - Introduced a page on FrgKpt. Victor Oehrn, one of the most successful German commanders with 24 ships sunk for over 100,000 tons in only 3 patrols.
14:13 - Introduced a page on KrvKpt. Heinrich Timm, one of the most successful German commanders in 1944-1945.
01:24 - Rewrote the Technical Information section of all the U-boat Types pages. The new version is easier to read and also contains new information on mines, estimated maximum dive depth and number of crew. Also did a short description of the type XXI on its page.
14:14 - Added 9 books to the German book list, all in the German Novels page, we now have a total of about 175 German language books here.
14:16 - Added further info to the U-974 page, both about her sinking in 1944 and also about her re-discovery in 1996.
14:16 - Slightly edited the pages of U-2513, U-233, U-979 and U-963. Also edited and added some information to the Scuttled U-boats in May 1945 pages.
01:24 - Created a prototype of a very large collection of pages called Dive Into History which will contain detailed information (maps, contact information, photos etc..) of the U-boat wrecks around the world that can be dived onto.
14:17 - Added a new page called U-boat News & Events and into this page we'll collect interesting material that might be of interest to you. In this first copy I talk about the soon to be re-relaesed and much improved movie Das Boot, the U-534 restoration and the Operation Deadlight Salvage planned to begin this summer. This page will also include news / rumors about U-boats being found in various places.
14:17 - Added 15 scuttled dates to the Operation Deadlight Types II to IX page which is now almost complete.
14:19 - Added 6 new novels to the English Novels page in the book list.
14:18 - Rewrote the German book list and split it into 3 main pages. Now over 165 German books are listed.
14:18 - Renamed all the Top 20 Commander from their original capt??.htm named to reflect the commander names. Otto Kretschmer's page is now called Kretschmer.htm and not capt1.htm like it used to. This should not concern you at all unless you find something not working then this is the reason.
01:24 - Added a major new section on German War Decorations which illustrates in several pages all the most important medals awarded before and during the war.
14:20 - Added a page on Captain Joe Baker Creswell which, as a commander of HMS Bulldog captured U-110 in the most important capture of the war.
14:19 - Improved the German book list, the page for books published before 1945
14:19 - Improved the page for U-27.
14:22 - Created a small page called Interesting figures about U-Web into which I'll gather various information about these pages in the future (# of letters received and written, # of users per week and so on and on).
01:24 - Improved the book list and now you'll find in the German section new page called New books which contains 3 entries each of which points to a seperate page about that book. This also introduces a new concept here, photo of the book covers. Hope you like it.
01:24 - Introducing a new major section called U-boat Operations. This will include pages on operational areas, wolfpacks, famous missions and convoy battles and more.
