| Notes on loss | Between 00.48 and 01.09 hours on 20 Jul, 1942, U-66 laid six TMB mines in the entrance of the harbour of Port Castries, St.Lucia. On 29 July, an US Coast Guard cutter was damaged by a mine detonation and on 2 August the HMS MTB-339 and HMS MTB-342 were also damaged by mine detonations. | ||
