History | Reconstructed between 1931-35 and converted from coal to oil burning. She also received new turbogenerators, replacing the dynamos originally fitted. The oroginal 2 funnels were trunked into a single one. The antiaircraft armament was bolstered by the addition of 2-120 mm guns. She took no active part in the war since there was no need for her services by the time Brazil joined the Allies. Decommissioned on 20 September 1953 and sold for scrap. |
