this is also on page 174 of "The Struggle for Guadalcanal", Robert C. Wark of PT-48 and also Henry S. Taylor of PT-46 as according to the book these were the first four PT Boats to reach Tulagi Island on October 12, 1942 under the command of Lt. Comdr. Alan R. Montgomery. All four of the skippers are of junior grade reserve lieutenants. (1)
