History	Never commissioned into the United States Navy. Transferred to the Royal Navy upon completion. While in service with the Royal Navy LST 415 was torpedoed and damaged by a German motor torpedo boat on 16 January 1945 off the Tongue lightvessel and beached. Scrapped at Grays in January 1948.
