During 9 and 10 August 1944, USS Baya (Cdr. A.H. Holtz, USN), conducted exercises off Pearl Harbour together with USS Canfield (Lt.Cdr. P.E. Cherry, USNR), USS Greiner (Lt.Cdr. L.H. Kiser, USN), USS Griswold (Lt.Cdr. M.C. Walley, USNR), USS Rall (Lt.Cdr. C.B. Taylor, USNR), USS Gar (Lt.Cdr. M. Ferrara, USN) and USS Grouper (Cdr. F.H. Wahlig, USN). These exercises included night exercises.

12 Aug 1944
USS Baya (Cdr. A.H. Holtz, USN) conducted exercises off Pearl Harbour together with USS Canfield (Lt.Cdr. P.E. Cherry, USNR).

15 Aug 1944
USS Baya (Cdr. A.H. Holtz, USN) conducted exercises off Pearl Harbour together with USS Canfield (Lt.Cdr. P.E. Cherry, USNR) and USS Burden R. Hastings (Lt.Cdr. E.B. Fay, USNR).

20 Aug 1944
USS Bergall (Cdr. J.M. Hyde, USN) conducted exercises off Pearl Harbour together with USS Canfield (Lt.Cdr. P.E. Cherry, USNR), USS Charles R. Greer (Cdr. A. Jackson, Jr., USNR) and USS Razorback (Cdr. R.S. Benson, USN).

Upon completion of these exercises Bergall was docked at Pearl Harbour.

23 Aug 1944
USS Bergall (Cdr. J.M. Hyde, USN) conducted exercises off Pearl Harbour together with USS Canfield (Lt.Cdr. P.E. Cherry, USNR), USS Allen (Lt. W.J. Riley, Jr., USNR) and USS Bang (Cdr. A.R. Gallaher, USN).

26 Aug 1944
USS Bergall (Cdr. J.M. Hyde, USN) conducted exercises off Pearl Harbour together with USS Canfield (Lt.Cdr. P.E. Cherry, USNR), USS Greiner (Lt.Cdr. L.H. Kiser, USN), USS Lovering (Lt.Cdr. E.P. Bayley, USNR) and USS Sea Devil (Cdr. R.E. Styles, USN).

9 Sep 1944
USS Escolar (T/Cdr. W.J. Millican, USN) and USS Sea Dog (T/Cdr. V.L. Lowrance, USN) conducted exercises off Pearl Harbour with USS Le Hardy (Lt.Cdr. E.L. Holtz, USNR), USS Charles R. Greer (Cdr. A. Jackson, Jr., USNR), USS Canfield (Lt.Cdr. P.E. Cherry, USNR) and USS Seagull (T/Lt. W.S. Hall, USN).

On completion of the exercises USS Sea Dog proceeded to Pearl Harbour escorted by USS Le Hardy.

USS Escolar remained out for night exercises with USS Charles R. Greer and USS Greiner (Lt.Cdr. L.H. Kiser, USN). They returned to Pearl Harbour early in the afternoon of the 10th.
