11 Dec 1943
Off Dundee HMS ML 229 (T/Lt. W.C.R. Walsh, RNVR) took over the escort. HMS Unrivalled (Lt. H.B. Turner, DSC, RN), HMS Trident (Lt. P.E. Newstead, RN) and ML 229 then continued on to Blyth.

6 Jan 1944
HMS Spirit (Lt. A.W. Langridge, RN) shifted from Larne to Holy Loch. She was escorted by HMS ML 229 (T/Lt. W.C.R. Walsh, RNVR). (2)

7 Feb 1944

Around 1700B/7, HrMs O 21 (Lt. F.J. Kroesen, RNN) departed from Dundee for Holy Loch. She was escorted out by HMS ML 229 (T/Lt. W.C.R. Walsh, RNVR).

At sea HrMs O 21 then joined the new constructionn submarine Voracious (Lt. F.D.G. Challis, DSC, RN) and her escort, the new construction corvette HMS Knaresborough Castle (Lt. J.R. Freeman, RNR) which were coming from Blyth. (4)

HMS Satyr (Lt. T.S. Weston, RN) shifted from Dundee to Blyth. She was escorted by HMS ML 229 (T/Lt. W.C.R. Walsh, RNVR). (5)

HMS Ursula (Lt. A.G. Davies, RN) conducted gunnery exercises off Dundee with HMS ML 229 (T/Lt. W.C.R. Walsh, RNVR) and A/S exercises off Methill with HMS ML 201 (T/Lt. G.T. Bruce, RNVR) and HMS HDML 1070 (T/Skr. J. Clark, RNR). (6)
