Notable events involving LCT 650 include:
1 Nov 1944
Took part in Operation Infatuate II (the landing at Westkapelle, Netherlands) as Loading Table Index Number (LTIN) 6 carrying assault team Cherry (1 Sherman command tank, 2 Sherman Crabs and 2 Churchill AVREs), an armoured bulldozer and commandos.
Made several runs to shore before actually landing and was hit by German fire which caused the bridge of one of the AVREs to collapse on one of the Crabs, trapping it. All other vehicles got off and onto the beach. (1)
