History

Converted to a training ship at Norfolk Navy Yard during 1930/1931.
Redesignated AG 17 and recommissioned on 1 July 1931.
Served as a gunnery training ship during WWII.
Refitted as an Anti-Aircraft training ship at Norfolk Navy Yard from 12 January 1944 until 3 April 1944.
Decommissioned 1 August 1947.
Stricken 16 September 1947.
Sold 30 October 1947 to be broken up for scrap.
