Baltic Fleet.

Decommissioned on 20 June 1956. Stricken on 5 March 1987. Became a museum ship on 8 July 1989 at Saint Petersburg.

10 Oct 1942
D-2 fires a torpedo at the German merchant Timandra (948 GRT) 35 nautical miles east of Bornholm Island, Denmark. The torpedo misses it's target.

14 Oct 1942
At 1039 hours D-2 fires a torpedo at the German merchant Jacobus Fritzen (4090 GRT) between Bornholm Island and Ystad. The torpedo misses it's target.

At 1633 hours D-2, now south of Ystad, Sweden in position 55°10'N, 13°39'E, fires another torpedo at the Jacobus Fritzen. This time the torpedo did hit and sank the ship.

19 Oct 1942
D-2 fires two torpedoes at the Swedish merchant Konung Gustav V (3150 GRT) and the German merchant Deutschland (2972 GRT) 10 nautical miles south of Trelleborg, Sweden in position 55°11'N, 13°19'E. The torpedoes however missed their targets.

26 Oct 1944
At 1254 hours D-2 fires two torpedoes at what is identified as 'a merchant of 5000+ GRT' 8 miles west of Pape, Latvia. The torpedoes however missed their target.

23 Dec 1944
At 0452 hours D-2 fires two torpedoes at what is identified as 'a merchant' south of the Irben Strait in position 57°22'N, 21°06'E. The torpedoes however missed their target.

29 Dec 1944
At 2001 hours D-2 fires two torpedoes at what is identified as 'a merchant of 9000+ GRT, out of a convoy of 2 merchants and 3 escorts' south of the Irben Strait in position 57°18'N, 21°07'E. The torpedoes however missed their target.

3 Jan 1945
At 0620 hours D-2 fires two torpedoes at what is identified as 'a merchant and one escort' off Ventspils, Latvia. The torpedoes however missed their target(s).

2 Sep 1994
The information of D-2 / Narodovolyets Museum pages says : Мuseum of this ship was officially opened on 2 September 1994 at Saint Petersburg. (1)
