19 Sep 1941
The Bulgarian auxiliary minesweeper W 2 sank when she hits a mine 3 nautical miles east of Cape Galata, Bulgaria. The mine was laid on either 13 September 1941 by the Russian submarine L-5 or 18 September 1941 by the Russian submarine L-4.

5 Oct 1941
At 1035 hours L-4 fires two torpedoes at the Romanian destroyer Regina Maria off Cape Tuzla, Romania.

Later that day L-4 lays a minefield off Mangalia, Romania.

10 Oct 1941
The Romanian auxiliary minelayer Regele Carol I (2369 GRT) sank when she hits a mine 2 nautical miles east of Cape Galata, Bulgaria. The mine was laid on either 13 September 1941 by the Russian submarine L-5 or 18 September 1941 by the Russian submarine L-4.

29 Apr 1942
The German barge F 130 is heavily damaged when she hits a mine 4 nautical miles east of Cape Olinka in position 45°52'N, 30°15'E. The mine was laid on 19 August 1941 by the Soviet submarine L-4. F 130 is beached to prevent her from sinking. Later salvaged and repaired.

19 Sep 1942
L-4 lays a minefield off Burnas, Ukraine.

23 Oct 1942
Received the Red Banner Award. (1)

22 May 1943
L-4 fires three torpedoes against a German barge 2 nautical miles south-east of Cape Chauda, Crimea in position 45°02'N, 35°58'E. The torpedoes missed their target.

23 May 1943
L-4 damaged the German barge F 329 with gunfire off Yalta, Crimea in position 44°40'N, 34°50'E. The damaged F 329 is towed to Feodosia and later repaired.

18 Jul 1943
L-4 lays a minefield off Eupatoria, Ukraine.

22 Jul 1943
L-4 sank the Turkish sailing vessels Hudayi Bahri (29 GRT) and Tayyari (409 GRT) with gunfire of the Bosporus.

23 Jul 1943
L-4 sank the Turkish sailing vessel Gurpinar (approx. 100 GRT) with gunfire of the Bosporus.

26 Apr 1944
L-4 fires 6 torpedoes at the German merchant Helga (1620 GRT, former Norwegian Hadrian, offsite link) in the Black Sea in position 44°02'N, 31°05'E. The torpedoes missed their target.

11 May 1944
L-4 torpedoed and damaged the German tanker Friederike (7327 GRT, former French Firuz) north-east of Constanta, Romania in position 43°42'N, 29°15'E.
