Completed at Molotovsk at Yard No.402.
After a failed attack on the German auxiliary submarine chaser UJ 1217 M-106 was sunk by depth charges (73 dropped in total) and ramming near Vardö, Norway the German auxiliary submarine chasers UJ 1206, UJ 1212, UJ 1214 and UJ 1217. It was UJ 1217 that rammed M-106 after it surfaced.
