While on patrol of the Porsangerfjord, at 1919 hours, ShCh-403 fires four torpedoes against ' what is identified as ' a merchant. All torpedoes fired missed their target.
8 Minutes later, two torpedoes were fired against ' what is identified as ' an auxiliary patrol vessel. Once again the torpedoes missed their intended target.
22 Dec 1941
While on patrol in the Porsangenfjord near Honningsvaag, Norway in position 70°50'N, 26°00'E, at 1818 hours, ShCh-403 fires two torpedoes against ' what is identified as ' a merchant of 10000 GRT and an auxiliary patrol vessel. All torpedoes fired missed their targets. The ship attacked was in fact the small Norwegian merchant Ingøy (327 GRT, offsite link).
18 Feb 1942
While on patrol of the Porsangenfjord, ShCh-403 was spotted in thick fog by the German minelayer Brummer. Brummer tried to ram ShCh-403 but missed the Soviet sub. The escorting German auxiliary minesweeper M 1503 did ram ShCh-403. The Germans thought they had sunk the enemy submarine as was the Russian commanding officer who abandoned his ship, also thinking that it was sinking. The Russian crew however managed to regain control of their heavily damaged ship and return to base.

While on patrol of the Varangerfjord, ShCh-403 fires four torpedoes against ' what is identified as ' a merchant of 8000 GRT. All torpedoes fired missed their target.

While on patrol off the Varangerfjord, east of Vard?, Norway, ShCh-403 fires four torpedoed against the German merchant Thorland (5208 GRT). All torpedoed fired missed their target.
11 Aug 1942
While on patrol off the Varangerfjord, between Kiberg and Vard?, Norway, ShCh-403 fires four torpedoed against the German merchant Santos (5943 GRT). All torpedoed fired missed their target. Following this attack ShCh-403 was heavily depth charged by the German auxiliary submarine chasers UJ 1101, UJ 1104 and UJ 1108. Over 100 depth charges were dropped but ShCh-403 managed to escape.
25 Oct 1942
ShCh-403 makes a torpedo attack on the German auxiliary patrol vessel V 6106 off the Laksefjord in position 71°04'N, 27°10'E. The attack fails, and ShCh-403 is attacked with depth charges by the ship he tried to attack and V 5909.
28 Oct 1942
While on patrol north-north-west of Vard?, Norway in position 70°06'N, 30°37'E, ShCh-403 fires two torpedoes against ' what is identified as ' an auxiliary minesweeper. Both torpedoes missed their target.

While on patrol of the Varangerfjord near Kiberg, Norway, ShCh-403 attacked a German convoy and fires four torpedoes against the German merchant Dessau (5933 GRT). All four torpedoes missed their target.
17 Jul 1943
While on patrol of the Kongsfjord, ShCh-403 makes a torpedo attack on a German convoy. No ships were hit. Three torpedo-tracks were spotted by an escorting aircraft.
